Étain’s Beauty

Étain is a name that resonates with the very essence of Irish beauty and her legend, Tochmarc Étaíne, is filled with magic, love, and fate.

You see, Étain was no ordinary maiden. Her beauty was a celestial gift, a radiance that could outshine the stars themselves. Her hair, like spun gold, cascaded in a cascade of sunlight down her back. Her eyes, deep and shimmering like the waters of a hidden forest pool, held secrets and mysteries beyond mortal comprehension. And when she smiled, it was as if the very heavens themselves were smiling upon you.

But beauty such as this can inspire tremendous jealousy and Étain fell victim to the jealous wrath of a scorned witch, who cursed her to transform into a pool of water for over 1,000 years, separating her from her true love, the fae Lord Midir. Yet, Étain was as resilient as she was delicate and when the time of the curse passed, she was reborn again as the most beautiful woman in Ireland and reunited with her love.

The poets and bards of Ireland found inspiration in Étain’s beauty. They composed verses that sang of her grace, comparing her to the wildflowers that dotted the landscape and the celestial bodies that adorned the night sky. Her very presence seemed to breathe life into their words.As the seasons cycled through their eternal dance, Étain’s presence left an indelible mark on the land.
